Megan Cavallari
/
A professional composer since the age of 15, Cavallari began her prolific career with two of the most iconic film composers of all time - Danny Elfman (Edward Scissorhands, Batman, Pee-wee's Big Adventure) and Jerry Goldsmith (Chinatown, The Omen, Basic Instinct). Her first job was working alongside Danny on The Nightmare Before Christmas, during which Elfman graciously taught her the craft of film scoring and became her mentor. She holds graduate degrees in music from New York University and studied film scoring, conducting, and orchestration at UCLA. Cavallari has gone on to write for over 40 films and television shows, and her exceptional body of work spans the worlds of theater, commercials, concerts, pop songs, and ice hockey arenas internationally.
“Megan is an AMAZING composer. She writes musical earworms like nobody else!”
~Richard Kraft, Kraft-Engel Management
“Megan Cavallari is one of those rare intuitive magical artists who somehow can translate what you’re thinking or feeling, or want your audience to think and feel, and turn it into sound. She knows the questions to ask, has the ability to listen and can translate your dreams into soundscapes that are almost tangible in depth and breadth. Megan is astounding professionally and personally.”
~David Nathan Schwartz, director/producer/writer/actor
